RAISING THE FOUNDATION AND THE FLOOR IN PRIVATE HOUSES

Subsidence of the foundation, which often manifests itself in the form of deformation and lowering of individual sections of the floor of the first floor, often leads to the appearance of cracks in the floor and walls. It is possible to avoid dangerous damage to buildings in the shortest possible time by strengthening the base soil and stabilizing the position of the foundation using GeoResin techniques.

The reasons for the weakening of the foundation soil and the gradual subsidence of the foundation of a private house can be different. Most often, such problems arise due to loosening or poor-quality preparation of the soil under the foundation. It is also possible to simply ignore the need for surveying and geodetic work during construction, as well as weakening of the soil and further subsidence of the foundation due to the rupture of water pipes or sewers, the action of groundwater, the destruction of underground tanks, and so on.

If the situation becomes more complicated and the degree of foundation subsidence increases, gradual damage to load-bearing and non-load-bearing structures of the building, skewing of windows and doorways, violation of thermal insulation and, as a result, the slow destruction of the entire building are possible. In order to stop subsidence and stabilize the foundation, it is necessary to urgently strengthen the base soil, and then lift and stabilize the foundation, and at the final stage – level and restore the floor.

Elevation of the foundation and floor

Thanks to the Deep Lifting method of deep injection of geopolymers, the foundations of private and multi-story buildings can be lifted without any destruction. The fact is that for the injection of GeoResin geopolymer resins, there is no need to involve massive equipment for earthworks or concrete works.

Deep injection of GeoResin geopolymers makes it possible to strengthen soils and increase their bearing capacity. As a result of injection to a depth of up to 10 m, the foundation is raised in a controlled manner to the desired mark with an accuracy of ± 1 mm. The performance of the work is monitored using ultra-precise laser levels in real time. The maximum lifting height of the foundation is 20 cm. At the same time, injection is performed directly under the sole of the foundation.

In some cases, after the completion of operations to strengthen the base soil and raise the foundation, leveling of the floor slabs of the first floor is carried out. Here, restoration takes place using the Floor Lifting technology: geopolymers are injected directly under the concrete base slab. For this purpose, it is necessary to drill holes with a diameter of 8-16 mm in the plate, which are simply closed when the work is finished.

Advantages of the GeoResin technique

The structure of GeoResin geopolymer resins allows you to perform work on raising the foundation and leveling floor slabs at any time of the year and in any weather, day or night. At the same time, thanks to the mobility and compactness of the equipment used, the work is carried out without the displacement of residents.

The material used for lifting the foundation and floor slabs is environmentally safe, stable for a long time, harmless to plants, animals and people. It does not pollute the soil and the environment, does not react with water and has waterproofing properties.

Due to the fact that geopolymer resins gain strength only 15 minutes after the end of injection, work on stabilization of the foundation and lifting of floor slabs in private houses is performed in an average of 2-3 days. At the same time, cost savings in comparison with traditional technologies reach 25%.
